The main activities coordinated by Pro Rosia Montana NGO were keen to undertake sustainable development through supporting Rosia Montana Mining Project and the only investor in the area – Rosia Montana Gold Corporation Company.
The projects that were already implemented by our NGO were based on:
- non formal education activities/trainings based on protecting the environment;
- rehabilitation activities of the area;
- teambuilding trainings;
- collaboration with other important NGOs from Romania – Youth Action for Peace, OvidiuRom, Millenium Center Arad, Leaders Foundation, Students Organization from University Babes-Bolyai Cluj Napoca, CERT Apuseni, Rosia Montana Environmental Partnership, Pro-Dreptatea . 25 young people from Rosia Montana have participated at some international projects developed in Turkey, Poland, Germany, Hungary, and France on human rights issues, communication and body language, sport and health, intercultural issues.
In the future, Pro Rosia Montana NGO will continue the activities started alongside the social and ecological programs, through the partnerships between us and local institutions (mayoralties, schools, churches), NGOs, and also we will implement new projects that would play significant a role in promoting social change and economic justice by raising standards of living and quality of life in Rosia Montana community.
